THE REVIVAL — THROTTLE THERAPY NATION
From Mercedes’ Perspective
When I returned to the off-road world, I wasn’t looking to start anything. I simply needed a place where the weight I was carrying could finally settle. The throttle gave me quiet. The mountains gave me clarity. The trails gave me a steady heartbeat when life felt overwhelming.
What I didn’t expect was how many riders were searching for the same thing.
On every ride, people shared pieces of their lives—stress, loss, burnout, trauma, healing. I began to understand that for so many, off-roading wasn’t a hobby; it was a lifeline. The trail gave them space to breathe, reconnect, and feel seen again. That realization became the foundation of Throttle Therapy Nation.
TTN didn’t begin as an organization. It began as a reminder that every rider carries something unseen, and the trail is one of the few places where we’re allowed to set that weight down. It grew from the belief that off-roading should be a community, not a competition. New riders should be taught, not judged. Families should feel welcome. Women should lead without hesitation. Youth should be encouraged. Veterans should have a place where silence feels safe.
I didn’t enter this space to take a spotlight. I entered it to build what I wished existed when I needed it most.
I learned the land the only way that feels honest—by riding it. Every ridge. Every climb. Every descent. Every season. I listened to those who came before me, honored their knowledge, respected the history of the trails, and made sure their legacy became the backbone of everything TTN stands for.
Not everyone understood my purpose, and some didn’t want to. But my focus never shifted. My commitment has always been to the riders who show up with heart, who respect the land, and who value the culture that shaped us.
Through it all, I was never alone. Joey stood with me through every mile and every hard choice. My children, my family, and our riding community supported me with the kind of strength that turns an idea into a movement.
Together, we created a space where:
• Riders come as they are
• Women find confidence and leadership
• Kids grow into skilled, respectful young riders
• Veterans rediscover calm
• New riders learn safely and without judgment
• The true roots of off-roading come alive again
TTN is the bridge between the original pioneers who built this world and the next generation who will inherit it. It exists to protect the culture that shaped us while making room for those just starting their journey.
For me, this movement isn’t just about riding. It’s about healing, belonging, and honoring the legacy that made these trails possible. It’s about lifting others the way the mountains lifted me.
This is the revival.
This is Throttle Therapy Nation.
And I’m grateful to be building it—one rider, one mile, one moment at a time.
THE REVIVAL — THROUGH JOEY’S EYES
I’ve been part of off-roading long enough to see how much it’s changed. I’ve watched the community grow, stretch, struggle, and evolve. Somewhere along the way, the mentorship, the respect for the land, and the genuine connection that made riding so meaningful began to slip. Families didn’t always feel included. Women weren’t given their space. Kids lacked guidance. Veterans who once found comfort on the trails drifted toward isolation. The heart of the culture felt faded.
And then I watched my wife step back into it.
When Mercedes found her way behind the throttle during one of the hardest times of her life, I saw strength come back into her. I saw clarity. I saw peace. That spark became the beginning of Throttle Therapy Nation before either of us realized it.
Riders naturally gravitated toward her. She listened. She respected them. She respected the land. She honored the legends who mapped long before apps or platforms. She didn’t demand a role—she earned trust through effort, humility, and consistency. She learned every inch of the terrain the same way the legends did: by riding it.
From my position beside her, I saw the truth behind the scenes. The long nights. The research. The calls from riders who needed guidance. The effort she poured into making this community safer, stronger, and more connected. She didn’t step into leadership because she wanted attention; she stepped in because the community needed someone who led with integrity.
And I can tell you without question—she didn’t do this alone.
Our kids stood with her. Our family supported her. Our off-road family packed the gear, rode the miles, and believed in the mission. We saw firsthand the difference it made: families reconnected, women stepped confidently into the driver’s seat, kids grew in skill and respect, veterans found a place to breathe, and new riders gained knowledge instead of shame.
Not everyone understood her vision. Some still don’t. But she never let that change her direction. She stayed focused on restoring what off-roading was always meant to be: a community rooted in respect, mentorship, honesty, and land stewardship.
From where I stand, she brought the soul of off-roading back into the light.
Throttle Therapy Nation is not about her. It’s about the people she empowers. It’s about the culture she protects. It’s about the next generation we are preparing. And I am proud—proud of her, proud of our family, and proud of the riders who have joined this mission.
This movement is the revival of the off-road world we believe in. And I will stand beside her through every mile still ahead.
A MESSAGE FROM BOTH OF US
We’ve walked this journey side by side—through challenges, through growth, through moments of uncertainty, and through moments that reminded us exactly why we were meant to do this together. Throttle Therapy Nation didn’t just shape a community; it strengthened our marriage in ways we never expected. The trails, the riders, the long nights planning, the early mornings loading gear, the miles traveled—they all brought us closer as a team.
Building TTN gave us something to fight for together.
It gave us purpose that we shared.
It gave us pride in each other.
It gave us a deeper understanding of what it means to support, trust, and believe in one another.
On the trail, we learned how to communicate in new ways.
Off the trail, we learned how to build something side by side.
Through the highs and lows, we learned how to grow—not as individuals, but as partners.
We’ve watched riders regain confidence. We’ve seen families rebuild connections. We’ve watched women rise, kids learn, veterans breathe deeper, and strangers turn into lifelong friends. And every time we witnessed one of those moments, it strengthened something within us as a couple. We weren’t just watching a community heal—we were healing and growing, too.
TTN became a reflection of the values we share: loyalty, integrity, respect, compassion, and a deep desire to leave things better than we found them. It reminded us that marriage is a partnership, and a mission like this can only grow when two people fully believe in each other.
We support this movement because we believe in it.
We support each other because that’s the foundation everything else is built on.
To the riders who came before us, we honor your legacy.
To the riders walking beside us, we value your presence.
To the riders who will come after us, we’re building this with you in mind.
No matter how far TTN grows, we move forward together—on the trail, in our family, and in our purpose. Throttle Therapy Nation will always stand for respect, mentorship, stewardship, and genuine connection. And we will continue to protect this culture, uplift this community, and carry its legacy forward as partners in every sense of the word.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Thank you for believing in us and in this mission.
Thank you for riding with us—today, tomorrow, and long into the future.
With respect and gratitude,
Mercedes & Joey
